The Zevenhuizen prostitution and health centre in Alkmaar (GGD Zevenhuizen) is for female and male sex workers in northern Noord-Holland. We offer care in the area of sexual health, such as information about working safely, contraception, investigation and treatment of STIs, and we offer free Hepatitis B vaccinations. Furthermore, simple medical problems are treated during office hours. We also offer social assistance, e.g. organizing an exit plan, requesting a benefit, looking for work and confidential conversations about all kinds of subjects. If we notice that there is a need for it, we organize information meetings about a specific theme. The assistance is free.

Sex workers may have to deal with higher health risks and social problems. At P&G Zevenhuizen, GGD Hollands Noorden works together with Mee & de Wering to support sex workers. The common goal is to promote the self-reliance, resilience and emancipation of sex workers.
